Before anything, here are some
pics..

The play was OK. It had a realist theme and was a little confusing. The play focuses on 2 characters mainly, 2 old neighbours, more like mother and son. So Son comes back to visit 'Mother' after 20 years and it was revealed that 'father' had raped Son. The play deals with phedophilea, ironic human emotions. It was later realised that Son had actually wanted to be 'raped' because he lacked the human touch in his own home.
It sorta opened my eyes to the fact that the society is quick to blame the predator, but never thought about how the prey had actually liked being 'raped'. I'm not saying that we sympathise with the predator, but it has casted light on how the prey could have felt. Though we should not assume once again that all prey liked being 'raped'.
The Mother was a Madrasah teacher who taught Happiness to her students yet ironically her husband is the cause of much unhappiness.
The play got confusing when Mother tried to get Son to think that he was imagining things and was actually having a memory selection. But Son was convinced he was raped.
So the predator of this play was never shown throughout the whole thing. Apparently it is to bring focus to other themes of the play other than phedophilea. It is also to have the audience have their own visualisations or thinking towards the predator, the director didn't intend to sway the audience.
All in all the play was okay..Still waiting for a production to wow me...=)
